Adani Properties Set to Win $4.1 Billion Mumbai Redevelopment Project
Billionaire Gautam Adani’s real estate unit has emerged as the highest bidder for one of Mumbai’s largest housing redevelopment projects, valued at approximately ₹36,000 crore ($4.1 billion), according to sources cited by Bloomberg.
Adani Properties Pvt Ltd, an unlisted arm of the Adani Group, secured the top bid for the Motilal Nagar Development Project in Goregaon, offering the highest price and surpassing competitors, including Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
The Maharashtra state government is expected to issue a Letter of Intent soon, officially naming Adani Properties as the project winner. Covering 143 acres, the redevelopment plan includes rehabilitating over 3,372 residential units, 328 commercial spaces, and 1,600 slum tenements, with a seven-year rehabilitation timeline.
This marks another significant win for the Adani Group, which is also leading the redevelopment of Mumbai’s Dharavi slum, Asia’s largest.
