Speaking at a district-level mega employment fair in Aligarh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) of trying to divide society, comparing their actions to those of Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Adityanath stated, “Jinnah committed the grave sin of dividing the nation. The Congress and SP are committing a similar sin by dividing society.”

The event, held in the Khair Assembly constituency—soon to face a bypoll—saw the CM distribute appointment letters to several youths and inaugurate as well as lay the foundation stones for 305 diverse projects valued at Rs 705 crore. The CM has been hosting similar employment fairs in constituencies approaching elections, with previous events held in Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, and Muzaffarnagar districts.

During the fair, Adityanath warned that as the country makes developmental strides under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, some groups are attempting to sow discord within society. He criticized the opposition for fostering anarchy by exploiting caste divisions, saying, “Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014, the nation has been advancing. Meanwhile, the opposition is fostering anarchy by sowing seeds of caste discord in society.”

Targeting the SP, Adityanath remarked that those who failed during their tenure and were notorious for their misdeeds are now unsettled by the law and order in the state. He referenced a previous controversial statement from the SP, where misconduct was excused with the phrase, "ladke hai, aur ladkon se galti ho jaati hai" (They are boys, and boys make mistakes), blaming them for compromising the safety of daughters. In contrast, Adityanath asserted that in the current double-engine government, “Those who jeopardize the safety of daughters and businessmen face a path to ‘Yamlok’.” He further criticized SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, claiming he has “no right to comment on women’s safety,” citing Yadav's silence on recent incidents in Ayodhya, Kannauj, and Kolkata.

Adityanath also condemned the Congress, SP, and BSP for allegedly undermining social cohesion during their time in power, accusing them of using appeasement strategies to divert society from the path of development. He claimed, “The Congress has disrespected national heroes such as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh. The BJP is dedicated to honoring these great figures, as is evident by the university established in Maharaja Mahendra Pratap Singh’s name (in Aligarh).”

Adityanath further accused the Congress and SP of being driven solely by their own interests, asserting that the double-engine government “practices non-discrimination and will not tolerate anarchy, disorder, or hooliganism.” He pointed out that before 2017, Uttar Pradesh struggled with an identity crisis, but today, it is recognized as one of the leading states in the country. He warned that if given the chance, the Samajwadi Party would bring about riots, looting, and anarchy, jeopardizing the state’s progress.

The CM also emphasized the importance of employment fairs in providing opportunities for youth across the state. During the Aligarh event, over 63 companies and firms issued appointment letters to more than 5,000 youths for various positions. Loans totaling over Rs 35 crore were granted to eligible individuals and MSME units through various schemes, and over 1,500 students received tablets and smartphones under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana.
