Embassy REIT has appointed Ritwik Bhattacharjee as interim CEO, as per a regulatory filing on November 7. This follows a SEBI directive on November 4, requiring the suspension of Aravind Maiya as CEO and the appointment of an interim leader. Bhattacharjee, previously Chief Investment Officer and a founding team member who supported Embassy REIT's 2019 listing, brings over 12 years of investment banking experience from roles at global firms such as Nomura, Citi, UBS, and JPMorgan, where he worked on various REIT and real estate capital markets transactions in New York and Singapore.

Embassy REIT has appointed Ritwik Bhattacharjee as its interim CEO, according to a regulatory filing on November 7.

This comes after a SEBI order on November 4 that asked Embassy REIT to suspend Aravind Maiya from acting as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and appoint an interim CEO.

The SEBI order noted that Maiya had been debarred by the National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA) for serious infractions related to securities market fraud at Coffee Day Enterprises Ltd (CDEL), resulting in his suspension from the CEO role at Embassy REIT.
