Israel’s Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, visited Ayodhya’s Ram Temple with his wife, expressing deep admiration for India’s cultural heritage. During his visit to the grand temple, Ambassador Azar said he was moved by the devotion of the pilgrims and emphasized the importance of connecting with the people and exploring India’s culture in greater depth.

"I am honored to visit this magnificent temple of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. I am amazed by the number of pilgrims and worshippers who come here," he shared with ANI.

Ambassador Azar highlighted the ancient heritage shared by both India and Israel, noting, "The people of Israel and India have ancient roots, with a strong tradition and heritage. Just as we take pride in our heritage, you take pride in yours, and this devotion is a source of strength. I was truly moved to witness this devotion here."

He added, "Location is significant because history has unfolded here. As the ambassador of Israel, it’s essential for me to connect with the people, which is why I’m here with my wife, deepening our understanding of Indian culture."

Earlier, Ambassador Azar met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow for a "fruitful and meaningful discussion," aimed at strengthening the bonds between Israel and Uttar Pradesh. The CM noted their commitment to exploring new cooperation opportunities that would benefit the people of the state.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath shared, "Had a highly fruitful and meaningful discussion with Mr. Reuven Azar, Ambassador of Israel to India. This meeting marks another step towards strengthening the deep bond between UP and Israel in areas of mutual interest."
