As part of this initiative, UPSIDA has proposed annual maintenance contracts for more than 34 industrial areas across the state, with an estimated annual expenditure of Rs 43 crore for 2024-2025.

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has launched a new initiative under the “Atal Industrial Infrastructure Mission.”

Under this plan, UPSIDA has proposed annual maintenance contracts for over 34 industrial areas in the state, with an expected yearly cost of Rs 43 crore for 2024-2025.

UPSIDA currently manages more than 156 industrial areas across 55 districts in Uttar Pradesh. In recent years, responsibility for 34 of these areas was transferred to urban local bodies. However, due to limited resources, these areas have not been maintained effectively.

UPSIDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mayur Maheshwari stated, "The authority has finalised 43 contracts for civil works to ensure 24/7 infrastructure maintenance by UPSIDA. These contracts cover activities such as the installation of advanced signage, roadworks, pollution monitoring systems, public address systems, traffic lights, and waste management."
